2025 Hippity Hop 5K

While the weather outside may not show it, it is almost time to trade in your snow boots for running shoes. We are now less than 3 months from the 2025 Hippity Hop 5K! This year’s event will take place on April 19, 2025, starting outside the Potter Park Zoo before joining the Lansing River Trail. In addition to the run/walk, we will have fun children’s activity, an Easter Egg Hunt, and pictures with the Easter Bunny! All participants will receive a medal and free entry into the zoo! Updates will be provided on the website (www.ingham.org) as well as via Facebook (Facebook) as we get closer to race day.   Sign up here: Hippity Hop 5K Online Registration

Online Workshop:

WINNING A STRONG CONTRACT:  Parts I & II

We will cover the basics of building a Contract Action Team (CAT), putting together an escalating campaign (potentially culminating in a strike), and dynamics between the bargaining committee, CAT, and the membership.

This workshop is for union members looking to build their skills for contract campaigns. We recommend that you register with a group of your coworkers if possible.

Prerequisites for this workshop:  We strongly encourage workshop participants to first attend our upcoming “Secrets of a Successful Organizer” online workshop series, if you haven’t taken it before. This is a three-part series that will take place April 2, 9, and 16. We plan to review concepts from Secrets, but we recommend previous familiarity in order to get the most out of the workshop.

When:  April 30th and May 7th

Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm EST
Where: This is an online workshop and will be held via Zoom.

$10 – Regular registration

Contact Ronda at [email protected] or 517-887-8844 to register.
